- From a set of more than 20 card game formats, select one or more appropriate types that suit your training objectives and participant characteristics.
- Create a deck of cards that display suitable content.
- Design different games to engage your participants and help them achieve your training goals.
Summary: Through an interactive exercise, you will review more than 20 types of card games and explore their use in your context. Working individually or in pairs or in teams, you will select a suitable type of card game, create a deck of cards, design games for use with the cards, and playtest these game. During the major part of the workshop, different facilitators will work with small groups to provide consultative and editorial help to design these types of cards games:
- Classification Card Games help you master different categories or steps.
- Fluency Card Games involve four challenges that increase your mastery of principles and procedures.
- Practical Advice Card Games help you master, modify, and apply evidence-based guidelines for improving different aspects of human performance.
Other types of card games include conversation cards, domino cards, flash cards, graphics cards, question cards, scenario cards, and many more.
At the end of the workshop, you will have a detailed plan for developing and using your own card games.
